Orientation Workshop at SIO headquarter

Deprived class must come forward in the Bureaucracy: SIO


New Delhi: Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) conducted a two day Civil Services Orientation Workshop for selected students at its headquarters, New Delhi on 6-7 October, 2012. The objective was to motivate students for the service to the country, to provide guidance & counselling and assist them financially for IAS preparation.
PM Salih, Secretary General, SIO in his concluding speech emphasized on the representation of the deprived class in the bureaucracy. “In endeavor to overcome victim-hood and to be the inclusive part of mainstream section, it’s essential for devoid section of the society to come forward and take participation in the bureaucratic system”. He accentuated aspirants to evolve excellence, expertise and perfection in their knowledge and skills. Reminding responsibility towards society, he suggested aspirants to study for service, not to seek just status and money.
The program was started with the inaugural words by Irshad Hussain, National Secreatry, SIO. Samiullah Khan, National Co-ordinator, Human Welfare Foundation presented felicitation talk to the participants. It was followed by Manzoor Alam, Vice Chancellor, Shobhit University and Ex-IPS’s speech on ‘Need and Significance of Civil Services in India and Our Role’. Different Stages of Preparation, Prelims, Mains, Interview, Guidance and Counselling were dealt by Monazir, Faculty, Rau’s IAS Academy. While Atiqur Rahman, Zakat Foundation of India spoke on ‘Civil Services Examinations in India –Scopes and opportunities’. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Director, JRAO Academy enlightened the ‘Changing trends of Civil Services Examination’.
Sharique Ansar, National Secretary, SIO expressed gratitude. In the workshop 30 selected students across the nation participated.
