PM Salih , Secretary General, SIO said in his inaugural speech that Islamic Civilizational values consists of its own unique artistic expression in Architecture, Calligraphy, Poerty etc. Works of Ibn Rushd, Jalaluddin Rumi on poetry and Al-Farabi’s writings are example of classical of Islamic works on arts. Islamic art and culture activities have certain message (political, vision, mission and concept).
Omair Anas, CAC Member, SIO addressing on ‘Art & Culture: Tools for Social Change’, said Art & Culture is the important tools for Ideological War, Due to lack of counter cultural activity we are suffering with Culture Imperialism whereas Qurán guided human in the most supreme form of artistic expression.
Introducing the aims and objectives of Students’ Festival, Ansar Abubakkkar, National Convener of Students’ Festival, told to promote dignity and ethics as basis of Edutainment (Education + Entertainment), to strengthen the spirit of brotherhood while promoting talents and skills and to harvest the spirit of healthy competition amongst students are the aims and objectives of this Festival. He further informed Drama, street play, documentary, film making, poster making, singing, mimicry, photography, painting etc will be the part of competition.
Mohd. Azharuddin, National President, SIO released the logo of Students’ Festival. Syed Kazim Co-Convener, Students’ Festival explained the theme and logo of festival.
